About Us

Carrell Clinic

100 Years of Experience. 20 World-Renowned Doctors.

A Legacy of Excellence.

Serving the musculoskeletal needs of Dallas, Frisco, and the surrounding areas, our world-renowned doctors and surgeons are dedicated to providing patients with the specialized orthopaedic and sports medicine care they need to get back to an active, healthy life.

Since our beginning in 1921, we have upheld a tradition of excellence that was instilled in us by Dr. W. B. Carrell, one of our founders. Even though our practice has grown, changed, and expanded its services over the years, this commitment to patient-centered excellence has never wavered and continues to be an important part of who we are as a practice today.

As part of our dedication to excellence, we offer a broad range of comprehensive musculoskeletal care. All of our orthopaedic surgeons and doctors are board-certified and fellowship-trained in their area of subspecialty as well as fully trained in general orthopaedics. This means each of our doctors has earned board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as undergone a year of extensive fellowship training that is focused solely on their field of subspecialty. This attests not only to their depth of knowledge within their subspecialty but also the profound dedication they have toward their field and their patients. Additionally, our world-renowned leaders are committed to sharing their wealth of knowledge with other surgeons, which is why they offer advanced training through a hip and knee fellowship program.

Hip and Knee Fellowship Program

As orthopaedic experts, our specialists are highly skilled at evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment for bone, joint, muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries and conditions of the ankle, back, elbow, foot, hip, knee, neck, shoulder, and spine. They are also experts in hip and knee replacement, orthopaedic trauma, pediatric orthopaedics, and sports medicine.

A Founding Division of OrthoLoneStar.

We are proud to be one of the six founding divisions of OrthoLoneStar, which is not only the largest independent orthopaedic group in Texas but also a top ten national practice.

Through this partnership with like-minded orthopaedic groups who share our dedication to excellence, we can better carry out our care philosophies as well as ensure that we are continuing our long-standing tradition of providing excellence in patient care. This partnership also allows us to continue to build upon our legacy and advance care across the entire state of Texas.

This includes spine surgery, joint replacement surgery for the hip and knee, arthroscopic surgery, and surgical fracture care as well as many other surgical procedures.

In addition to striving to provide the highest level of care possible, we are committed to providing our patients with access to a continuum of care through our on-site services. Experience a Legacy of Excellence.

At Carrell Clinic, we have a long-standing tradition of providing excellence in patient care that dates back to the early 1920s. The groundwork of our legacy was laid by Dr. Carrell and his colleagues, who established a well-respected reputation and a commitment to excellence that they upheld by staying up to date with advancements in technology and skill. Dr. Carrell was the first orthopaedic surgeon to practice in Dallas as well as a driving force behind the creation of the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Because the drive, commitment, and high standards of Dr. Carrell, his colleagues, and the doctors who came after them were upheld and infused into Carrell Clinic, we are highly respected throughout the Southwest and the nation and known for our dedication to excellence.

As a patient here, you will experience our rich heritage as well as exceptional orthopaedic and sports medicine care that is focused solely on you and your needs. Our devotion to you and your medical care starts when you walk into our office and lasts throughout your entire orthopaedic journey. Whether you have a sports injury, such as a knee or ankle sprain, a broken bone, or arthritis, we are here to offer you the exceptional orthopaedic care you need to get back to your active life.
